No. 2 River Beach is, to me, the best beach in the world because it offers something that cannot be manufactured: pure, natural beauty with a genuine sense of peace. The soft white sand, clear turquoise water, surrounding green hills, and calm river flowing into the Atlantic create a landscape that feels almost untouched. It is beautiful without trying to impress you. There are no towering resorts or overcrowded boardwalks—just the ocean, the mountains, the village, and the feeling that you have discovered one of West Africa’s most precious treasures.
It is also my favorite beach because of how I feel whenever I am there. No. 2 River slows me down, clears my mind, and reminds me to appreciate the simple things. I can sit by the water, enjoy fresh seafood, listen to the waves, and feel completely present. Many beaches may be more famous, but very few carry the same warmth, character, and soul. For me, No. 2 River Beach is not simply a beautiful destination—it is a place of peace, connection, and unforgettable memories.
